Ms Trhulj was born in 1970 in Belgrade where she acquired elementary and secondary education. She graduated from the Law School of the University of Belgrade (economic-legal department).
In her previous positions, she acquired significant work experience in the performance of tasks from the sphere of providing support to corporate governance bodies and status and legal issues, telecommunications law and marketing, within which she established excellent communication with both her colleagues, members of the corporate bodies and her business partners.
She started to work in PE PTT Traffic Serbia in July 1997, as a scholarship holder – child of a deceased employee, and her efforts and willingness to work, learn and gain recognition soon, in June 1998, won her a position in Telekom Srbija a.d. Beograd, within the Secretariat for Legal and General Affairs, where she worked on tasks related to the preparation of normative acts and granting opinions related to the sphere of telecommunications law. In the same period, she actively participated in the preparation of sessions of the corporate bodies of the Company, which influenced her further career.
For the purpose of further advancement, in 2000/2001, she was responsible for communication with marketing, production and advertising agencies and TV and radio stations, and for the preparation of contracts on business cooperation and sponsorships within the External Affairs Division.
After the said period, she continued to work in the Secretariat for Legal and General Affairs, where she was, in 2002/2003, engaged in the procedures of procurement of telecommunications equipment by renowned world manufacturers, aimed at faster mobile telephony development. Participation in these procedures recommended her to the chief officer of the Mobile Telephony Division where she worked from September 2003 to March 2005 and actively participated in the negotiations and the creation of contractual documents for significant projects, such as the introduction of the VAS service, m-payment, loyalty programs, etc.
From March 2005, she performed the tasks of providing support to the work of corporate bodies of the Company, organizing the Section’s work, while from April 2013, she also provided support to the Department for Corporate and Legal Support, which involved the provision of legal organizational support to the functioning of the corporate bodies, monitoring the implementation of their decisions, monitoring the activities related to the exercising of management and supervision rights in the subsidiaries, and the implementation of activities in the sphere of status and legal affairs and communication with the shareholders. From 2017, she has held the position of head of the Section for Support to Corporate Bodies and Communication with the Shareholders.
Ms Trhulj has so far participated in professional conferences in the country and abroad, organized by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Business Lawyers Association, the Foreign Investors Council in Serbia, the Mokra Gora School of Management, the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Academy of European Law (ERA). She finished a specialist seminar on Corporate Management for Managers organized by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (2015) and the General Management Program organized by the Mokra Gora School of Management (2016).
She is proud of the fact that she started her career as “a child of the PTT system” and that during her 25-year-long engagement in the Company she has tried to live up to the standards imposed on her by her first boss who told her she would “always be expected to work harder than others”.
She describes herself as someone who is straightforward in communication, positive, objective, well-organized, flexible and ready to work both as part of a team and individually.
She has been a long-standing member of the Friends of UNICEF Club in the Republic of Serbia.
She is fluent in English.
Ms Trhulj is married and a mother of one child.
