Telekom Srbija receives recognition at ESG Leaders competition: Zoran Karić declared Sustainable Development Leader
At the ESG Leaders competition, organized under the auspices of PwC Srbija, our colleague Zoran Karić, an environmental protection expert and manager of Telekom Srbija’s EMS Team, received a prestigious recognition dubbed “Sustainable Development Leader” in the individual category.
The “ESG Leaders” competition has been organized for a third consecutive year by PwC Srbija (PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting d.o.o), one of the leading global consulting companies, which is publicly recognized as a relevant initiative for promoting good practices in the sphere of sustainable business.
This recognition confirms Zoran’s long-term systematic contribution to improving sustainable operations in Telekom Srbija – from establishing the basis of the system for calculating greenhouse gas emissions and the development of GHG and ESG reporting, to improving environmental protection management, employee education and strengthening transparent communication with the key stakeholders.
Through continued and structured approach, key segments of environmental protection management have been improved in Telekom Srbija, including the development of methodologies for GHG emissions, strengthening climate and ESH reporting, as well as establishing responsible and transparent communication with the relevant stakeholders.
A special focus is directed at preserving biodiversity through initiatives such as the “No Species Dies Alone” project, which reaffirms the company’s commitment to translating its social and ecological responsibility into measurable and long-term sustainable activities.
The recognition’s additional value lies in the fact that Zoran’s candidacy was initiated by the employees, which shows that Telekom Srbija fosters an organizational culture where expertise, integrity and commitment to sustainable development principles are recognized and encouraged.
