“Children’s World Is Bigger than Screen” project receives “Meaningful Campaign” recognition
The Telekom Srbija company launched the “Children’s World is Bigger than Screen” campaign with an aim to draw attention to the possible consequences of excessive and early exposure of children to screens, and offer support to children and the public about the importance of a balanced use of screens and digital devices in the early development of children. The project has been recognized as an example of communication with a clear purpose, meant to improve the welfare of children, individuals and society as a whole.
The socially responsible communications festival “Meaningful Campaign” awards projects using the power of communications to emphasize a certain social problem regarding children or individuals and draw the public’s attention to such a problem and offer possible solutions, as well as campaigns that directly help improve the life of children and individuals in Serbia. The awards are granted once a year on International Child Day, on 20 November.
Within the project “Children’s World is Bigger than Screen”, four public debates were held in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac and Niš. At these events the experts Dr Ranko Rajović, master speech therapist Marijana Mirković and assistant professor dr Bojana Drljan shared their valuable knowledge and practical advice, reminding the audience that the children’s world is and should remain bigger than the screen.
