Autumn to bring exciting new series on Superstar TV
Telekom Srbija produces new seasons of smashing hit series “Državni službenik” (Civil Servant) and “Ubice mog oca” (My Father’s Killers)
Telekom Srbija, Dandelion Productions and Film Danas production houses have announced fresh projects and sequels to the most popular series to be screened for the viewers of SuperstarTV as of autumn.
Telekom Srbija and two executive production houses worked together on serveral series which are to be filmed and premiered in the following months. The audiences will have an opportunity to view the fifth season of the popular series “Ubice mog oca”. The broadcasting of the long-awaited series “Pevačica” (Singer) is scheduled for September, whereas the filming of the third season of the crime series „Državni službenik“ is scheduled for the end of July.
In addition, also announced was the shooting of a new series entitled “Bunar” (The Well), starring Igor Đorđević in the role of a philosophy teacher, Radomir, whom, following an affair with a student of his moves to a Šumadija village where he is kept company by his sister (played by Nataša Ninković). Apart from the series “Bunar”, also being developed is a new series – “Baš Čelik”.
Telekom Srbija CEO Vladimir Lučić said that over the past several years, Superstar TV had gained the confidence of its viewers to become synonumous with the most prestigious national series.
“Telekom Srbija managed to restore the popularity of domestic series with its world-standard production and live up to the expectations of the fans of different generes. From the very beginning, we wished to create a recognizable Serbian production of entertainment content which can compete with the best world companies. Now, I can proudly say that our wish was fulfilled. Telekom Srbija will continue to move the borders of the quality television programme and to offer opportunities to gifted people and creative ideas in order for them to find their place on television,” Lučić said.
Producer Predrag Gaga Antonijević said that cooperation with Telekom Srbija had exceeded all of his expectations and that numerous fresh projects were a logical move for both sides.
“We always make sure that what comes out of our companies should be of the highest quality. I would like particularly to emphasize the work on the series Baš Čelik, which is something that has not been done in this country so far. We are glad to be able to bring before the audiences, in cooperation with Telekom, a story which all of us read and liked in our childhood. In terms of production and script, this project will certainly be competitive internationally – a first true Srbian blockbuster“.
Producer Maksa Ćatović recalled the beginning of cooperaton with Telekom and work on the series “Državni službenik”. He also announced many new projects in the future.
“As somebody who has dealt with this business for over 35 years, I must say that there has been no busier period than this. Our entire trade - actors, directors and other film workers are experiencing their magical age primarily thanks to Telekom that is certainly number one in terms of the number of new projects.”
Superstar TV, one of the ten most-watched TV channels in Serbia may be viewed by users of iris TV, Supernova cable operator and m:SAT TV satellite television, as well as users in the region through m:tel-a CG and B-H, and globally via MTEL Global.
