TELEKOM SRBIJA OPENS ITS SUBSIDIARY IN TURKEY
The MTEL Turkey company, a subsidiary of Telekom Srbija, officially started selling its television services on the territory of Turkey on 12 December 2023. There are over 10 million Serbian language speakers in Turkey so that this Euro-Asian country was a logical choice for expanding the operations of Telekom Srbija in the diaspora. After Austria, Germany and Switzerland, people from the territory of the former Yugoslavia will be able to watch channels in their own language in Turkey as well.
Expressing his pride at the fact that Telekom Srbija Group is starting to offer its services in Turkey as well, Telekom Srbija CEO Vladimir Lučić said: “It is with great pleasure that we enter the several million-customer large Turkish market. We firmly believe that we will surprise not only all the people originating from our region who live in Turkey with our diverse and quality television offer, but the Turkish population as well, because we also have channels in the Turkish language in our offer. Our customers will be able to enjoy top sports content on the Arena Sport channels as well as film and series content. We hope that our series will become equally popular in Turkey as Turkish series are popular in our country. At this moment, Telekom Srbija has over 210,000 customers throughout the diaspora and we believe that this number will only continue to grow. Our operations have proven that we have become a serious and successful European telecommunications company”.
On the occasion of launching the company’s operations in Turkey, Zoran Drašković, the director of the MTEL Turkey company, with his associates, visited the first business and residential customers in Istanbul, i.e. our compatriots who welcomed the opportunity to bring a part of their homeland into their associations and homes with undisguised satisfaction, spending their free time with their family and friends with their favourite television content from the homeland. In an unofficial and relaxed conversation, in the atmosphere of traditional Turkish hospitality, Mr Drašković announced an even richer offer of TV channels in the future for all our future customers in Turkey, while the hosts expressed their satisfaction at being the first who have the chance to experience the quality offered by the new member of Telekom Srbija Group – MTEL Turkey.
The first customers of MTEL Turkey will get a promotional package. “Over the first three months the welcome package will be free of charge, and if the customers sign a contract for 24 months, then the promotional package will last six months”, said Zoran Drašković.
The customers may apply for the service through a Call Centre at the number 0850-205-34-34 or through the MTEL Turkey website, while partner sale on the market is soon to follow.
