“BUNAR” SERIES TO PREMIERE BEFORE LOCAL AUDIENCES
The new domestic series “Bunar” (“The Well”), defined as an existentialist drama about a search for meaning, will begin its life on the small screen offering the audience an intimate story inspired by the search for an answer to the question as to why we actually exist in this world.
The eleven episodes of the new series will be broadcast every weekend on the Superstar channel at 9 p.m, and the authors announce a story that will make the audience laugh and cry, and reveal that in each of us there is another person who we do not know.
The producer of the “Bunar” series is Telekom Srbija, while the companies “Film Danas” and “Dandelion Production” are in charge of executive production.
“We have been strategically committed to creating domestic film and serial content for four years, and during this time we have become an absolute market leader in the production domain. Since investment in culture and cinematography is one of the focuses of our business, the achieved result is the unique content that we offer to the audience. We are certain that we are on the right track, which is best shown by the excellent reception that our content is receiving not only in the region, but throughout the world. Namely, certain series were purchased for broadcasting on the markets of five continents, which testifies to the quality and universality of the topics we are dealing with”, said Telekom Srbija CEO, Vladimir Lučić.
The main protagonist, Radomir, is a philosophy professor who has an affair with his student, makes her pregnant and then withdraws to his native village hoping to “find himself”.
“This is not a true story but it could easily be true. A man and a woman, for entirely different reasons, abandon their former lives and retreat to a place where a new life awaits them, in its rawest form. The “Bunar” series differs from other drama programs in terms of the topics it deals with and the way it deals with them. I am very calm and proud of my fellow actors who did real psychological studies here and showed us exceptional acting in its most sublime form”, said the co-author and the main actor in the series, Igor Đorđević.
One of the creators of the series, Predrag Gaga Antonijević said that the authors of the series tried to create something original.
“The series features fantastic roles played by great actors – we have a really ingenious team. Watch carefully, because I think we have created a new path and pushed the ladder up a bit, which we always strive to do in this business. We have made something unusual and I think the audience will recognize it”, said Antonijević.
On his journey, the main protagonist meets a great number of new and unfamiliar faces, and each of these encounters changes him and has an influence on the person he will become. The conversations between the protagonists are a great strength of this series, and one of the screenwriters, Nataša Drakulić, said that work on the series was an unforgettable experience and that writing the script was a great chance to get to know the typical Šumadija village and the character of its inhabitants.
Apart from the main protagonist, in this series, we will get to know the stories of many other characters played by Milica Janevska, Nataša Ninković, Zoran Cvijanović, Ljubomir Bandović, Boris Milivojević, Nikola Pejaković, Nenad Okanović, Denis Murić, Miodrag Dragičević, Marko Janketić, Nenad Jezdić, Bogdan Diklić and many others.
The series was directed by Maša Nešković and Igor Đorđević, while the script was written by Nataša Drakulić and Igor Đorđević.
