Winning teams of 9th Regional App Challenge visit prestigious Milan AI Week

The winners of the Regional App Challenge from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro — the teams “Eco Footprint” (“Eko trag”) from the 9 May High School in Niš, “Two and a Half Musketeers” (“Dva i po mušketira”) from the Mostar High School and the “Support Team” (“Suport Team” from the Vaso Aligrudić Electrical Engineering High School from Podgorica, along with their teachers-mentors, had a unique opportunity to visit the AI Week in Milan, one of the most prestigious European conferences dedicated to artificial intelligence and contemporary technologies.

Leading world experts, technological companies, researchers, the start-up community and innovators from the field of artificial intelligence, such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services and others, gathered at the Milan conference.

Teams from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro attended the innovative lectures, panel debates, workshops and presentations of the latest AI solutions shaping the future of education, medicine, industry and digital operations. During the visit, they had the chance to become acquainted with the advanced applications of artificial intelligence, robotics and automatization, as well as establish contacts with the international experts and companies from the technological sector.

Members of the winning team from Serbia thanked the Telekom Srbija company for its exceptional support, great organization and a beautiful journey to Milan. “It was a great pleasure to participate in the mts app competition and the Regional App Challenge, and we are immensely grateful for this unique opportunity and valuable experience that we had”, said members of the “Eco Footprint” team from the Niš-based 9th May High School.

This visit is a significant recognition of knowledge, innovativeness and creativity of young people from the region. At the same time, it additionally inspired the students to further develop their ideas and actively contribute to the future of digital innovations and artificial intelligence.
