mts – the best network in Serbia
mts mobile network has been pronounced the best network in comparative testing of service quality rendered by mobile operators, based on a comprehensive benchmark analysis conducted for the third consecutive year by the Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (RATEL).
mts mobile network scored best individually in each segment, i.e. it had best results in voice service in large cities, towns and on the roads across Serbia, as well as the best results in data transfer and mobile internet, in the referenced categories, according to all parameters (Browsing, Data and Youtube).
The achieved testing results, 85.06 of total 100 points, is also the best result ever achieved in Serbia, which means that mts customers currently enjoy the top-quality mobile network ever since the mobile telephony signal was aired in our country.
As stated in RATEL’s report, Telekom Srbija’s mobile network had the best result in the benchmarking campaign conducted in 2019, “owing to significant enhancement of quality of all services, in all categories”. In that context, special emphasis was laid on VoLTE services (Voice over LTE network), which gave mts a competitive edge in this segment.
Testing of the mobile network quality covered 47 cities and 10,000 km of roads country-wide, based on more than 6,000 calls and 3,500 sessions generated for each data service in the network of every operator, across all available technologies (2G, 3G, 4G).
The goal of benchmarkingof mobile networks is to objectively compare the service quality in mobile networks, from customer perspective, by measuring quality parameters (KPI – key performance indicators). Benchmarking measurements were conducted in October and November 2019, in cooperation with the company Systemics PUB, reported to conduct such measurements worldwide for the needs of regulatory bodies and operators.
