Serbia Creates National Platform and Telekom Srbija launch strategic cooperation SERBIA CREATES SCREEN

First Serbian “content” market, a professional market of production, coproduction and the development of new TV series will be held at Ložionica in 2025

The Serbia Creates National Platform and the Telekom Srbija company signed a Memorandum of Understanding and launched strategic cooperation in the domain of creative industries through the SERBIA CREATES SCREEN platform – whose mission is long-term promotion of domestic audio-visual content. One of the most important joint activities will be the organization of the first Serbian “content” market which will be held at the creative and innovative “Ložionica” in 2025.

The SERBIA CREATES SCREENplatform will focus on the international positioning of Serbia through the promotion of all kinds of creative “screen” content – audio-video production, primarily TV series, gaming and music. In that sense, the first joint steps in the international positioning of Serbia have already been made by presenting Serbia as a regional leader at the recently held Series Mania Forum in France, which gathers professionals from the industry of creating television series from more than 60 countries in the world. Thanks to the investment of the Serbian government which is 130 times higher than 12 years ago and Telekom Srbija which has produced over 100 films and TV series in only five years, Serbia is an absolute leader in the region and a credible, equal partner to producers, broadcasters and distributors throughout the world.

Strategic cooperation between the two influential entities in the sphere of creative industries will additionally encourage the development of the creative sector in Serbia through numerous joint activities, says Ana Ilić, the acting director of the creative and innovative centre Ložionica and the Serbia Creates National Platform team:

Strategic cooperation between the two influential entities in the sphere of creative industries, the Serbia Creates platform and the Telekom Srbija company, as the largest producer of creative content not only in Serbia but also in the entire region of Southeast Europe, will be a strong driver of innovations, growth, export and collective success of the Serbian creative scene through numerous joint activities. At the same time, by combining expertise and access to new markets, it is possible to encourage the creation and development of a more dynamic and creative ecosystem in Serbia, primarily within the first regional centre of creative industries “Ložionica”, which is designed to fully respond to the needs of the innovative business sector within the coming revolutionary wave of Industry 5.0. For such an endeavour we exactly need partners like the Telekom Srbija company, a leader in its sphere, which has a clear vision of the future and which is ready to push the boundaries of our creativity and innovations. We have great ideas for joint activities in the future, especially within “Ložionica”.

Aleksandra Martinović, the head of the Multimedia Division of Telekom Srbija emphasized that this cooperation will primarily benefit Serbia:

“The year 2025 is the year when Belgrade and Serbia become the centre of a regional and European gathering of creative and production experts who will acquaint us with the process of development of series and films. Through strategic cooperation with the Serbia Creates platforms we have obtained new opportunities and additionally strengthened the vision of positioning Serbia as a country open to the world in order to exchange knowledge in the sphere of creative industries. On the “content” market, which will be held at a single location in “Ložionica”, we will have the chance to bring all trends, talents and possible collaborations closer to creative people. A special emphasis will be placed on the educational part where Telekom Srbija will use its domestic and international experiences and contacts in order to convey its clear knowledge when it comes to creating series and films”.
