Telekom Srbija continues to support young talents

Belgrade, 8 October 2021 – The mts app competiton, which has already become a tradition both for Telekom Srbija and students of the grammar schools which operate according to the syllabus for talents in mathematcis, informatics and computer science, will rally, for an eleventh consecutive time, young creators of mobile applications.

This year too, the competition will have an online format and apart from valuable awards, five best teams will have an opportunity to compete, along with student teams of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro, for the main or special award in the framework of the Regional App Challenge event.

Telekom Srbija has recognized the importance of education for young people, endavouring to support their development and through projects such as the mts app competition, offer them an opportunity to advance their expertise and skills acquired in school. As part of the programme We Initiate the Initiators, designed to strengthen individuals and institutions to catalize positive changes in their environment, the mts app competition encourages secondary school students to create a useful and operational application and present it as a finished product on the market.

The mts app competition is organized with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technologica Development. To date, more than 2,500 pupils have taken part and 168 teams presented their 175 applications. As an example of good practice of cooperation with young people, the competition is included in the selection of the prestigious European organization, CSR Europe.

The deadline for entering teams and application ideas is 19 November 2021 and that for the submission of finished applications, is 28 January 2022.
