Fifth anniversary of Telekom Srbija’s project We Create Knowledge
Telekom Srbija has launched the fifth cycle of the project We Create Knowledge within which, by an online vote, the citizens will decide on which schools in Serbia will receive new information science classrooms. By means of this already traditional campaign, Telekom Srbija, each year, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, equips 20 elementary schools throughout the country, and at the end of the new cycle the number of schools that will receive computer equipment and modern information science classrooms shall increase to 100.
The vote is performed on the official Facebook page of mts Tvoj svet, at the following link, where citizens can vote for the schools from 17 May to 26 May at 12 a.m. and help us choose 20 out of 40 schools proposed by the Ministry this year. The schools are divided into four geographical areas, so that five schools from each area with the largest number of votes will get the valuable donation of Telekom Srbija, so that elementary school pupils in all regions in Serbia would have an equal access to new computer equipment and the contemporary method of teaching.
All Facebook users with residence in the Republic of Serbia, who have liked the mts page, can take part in the vote. Every user can vote for one school from each geographical area every day, i.e. allocate a total of four votes. After the period of 24 hours, the user is allowed to again access the application and vote.
In order to provide modern teaching conditions and raise digital literacy to a higher level for pupils throughout Serbia, Telekom Srbija strategically invests significant funds and works on improving the environment in which young people study and grow up, trying at the same time to encourage citizens to actively participate and be the initiators of positive changes in their surroundings.
This is exactly the purpose of the umbrella project “We Support the Initiators”, within which the “We Create Knowledge” project is implemented. The project “We Create Knowledge” is aimed at empowering the institutions and individuals in order to create a better society for all its members.
