Who can be a shareholder?
In compliance with Article 249 para 1 of the Company Law (Off. Gazette of RS nos. 36/2011, 99/2011, 83/2014-state law and 5/2015), in relation to the joint stock company and third parties, a shareholder is a person registered with CSD and Clearing House as a legal holder of the share, where the date of registration with CSD and Clearing House is considered to constitute the date of acquisition of a share. Paragraph 2 of the same Article of the Law prescribes that CSD and Clearing House is under the obligation to issue to a shareholder, at his/her request and no later than the working day following the day on which the request was forwarded, in accordance with the operating rules of CSD and Clearing House, a certificate of the shares legally held by him/her, including all the information relating to the shares of which a record is kept by CSD and Clearing House.
As far as the shares of Telekom Srbija a.d. Beograd are concerned, apart from the Republic of Serbia and Telekom Srbija a.d. Beograd, the shareholders also include the citizens who, in accordance with the Decision on the Transfer of Shares without Compensation to the Citizens- Title Holders and Employees and Former Employees of Telecommunications Company Telekom Srbija a.d. Beograd (Official Gazette of RS no. 41/2012), exercise the right to 31 shares of Telekom Srbija a.d. Beograd each, as do the employees and former employees.
